Month one is not about impressing you with strategy. It's about understanding you deeply enough that everything we produce after that actually lands. Your goals, your team dynamics, your current mix, what's working quietly in the background, and what everyone privately knows isn't.
We call this the business and brand immersion. It's not a workshop. It's a proper deep dive - analytics, infrastructure, the full marketing mix, stakeholder conversations, brand perception inside and out. By the end of it, we know your business well enough to build a roadmap and strategy worth following.

Onboarding and goal alignment
Deep-dive sessions with you and your senior team. We map business goals, growth ambitions, internal frustrations, and the decisions that are currently hardest to make. This shapes everything.

Marketing audit and analytics review
Full review of current activity, spend, channel performance, and reporting. We're looking at what's actually happening versus what people think is happening - those two things are often not the same.

Brand and positioning assessment
We look at the brand from the inside out - how it's perceived externally, how it lives internally, whether your messaging is consistent across every touchpoint, and where the gaps are. From month two onwards, the engagement runs to a clear, structured rhythm. You always know what's happening, who owns what, and what results look like. No chasing. No wondering if anyone's across it. That's our job.
The exact cadence varies by tier - Essence is lighter touch, Élan and Héritage are more embedded - but the operating principles are the same across all three.

Each tier builds on the last. All of them are bespoke to your business. The tier determines depth of involvement, not the quality of thinking.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
A few things

We work on 12-month retainers with a 6-month break clause. That's deliberate - meaningful strategic change doesn't happen in 90 days, and we don't think short-term engagements serve anyone well. You should be choosing a partner, not a sprint. Individual projects are priced separately - please contact us for further information.
We keep a small roster of retainer clients by design. When we take on your business, we're genuinely in it. That means we're not spread across 30 accounts, and it means we're selective about who we work with.
If we're not the right fit for where you are, we'll tell you that in the discovery conversation. No hard sell, no shoehorning. The relationship only works if it's the right one.
THE CONTRACT
12-month retainer with a 6-month break clause. Projects priced separately and scoped clearly before we start.
CAPACITY
We cap retainer clients at 10 to keep the service genuinely senior-led. Quality over volume, always.
THE FIRST MONTH
Immersion before strategy. We learn before we recommend. You'll have a clear roadmap by the end of week four.
